The Shelton's

This is a photo shoot I did of the Shelton Family...of them just hanging around the house on a Saturday evening.  It really captures the true personalities of each of them.  This just goes to show that you don't need to get all dressed up and go to someplace to have some family photos taken, sometimes the best shots are taken at home in your every day life...and these are certainly the most treasured as well.

I do have a special price going now for a limited time...$15.00 for about an hour of photos.  This price is to help me gain new customers and this will go up soon...but if you get your appointments booked now...the price will stay good.  If you are a good distance away, I may have to charge you more for travel expense. You can purchase a CD of your photo shoot for $5.00...or I can just post your photos online for you to download and print.

Play it again, Sam. (Casablanca)

A kiss is just a kiss...a sigh is just ah sigh

This film is my #3 all time favorite film.  (#1 being Titanic and #2 being When Harry Met Sally...just in case your curious).
How is it possible that such a film as this was created in 1942...?
I find myself picturing the world back then, and it seems Casablanca surely was ahead of it's time...I think that's part of the charm of it all.  But even if I didn't know the year it was made, I would still be entangled in this web...here is a snip of it:
Casablanca is a 1942 American romantic drama film directed by Michael Curtiz and based on the unpublished stage play Everybody Comes to Rick's by Murray Burnett and Joan Alison. The film stars Humphrey BogartIngrid Bergman, and Paul Henreid; and featuresClaude RainsConrad VeidtSydney GreenstreetPeter Lorre, and Dooley Wilson. Set during World War II, it focuses on a man torn between, in the words of one character, "love and virtue". He must choose between his love for a woman and helping her Czech Resistance leader husband escape the Vichy-controlled Moroccan city of Casablanca to continue his fight against the Nazis.
Story editor Irene Diamond convinced producer Hal Wallis to purchase the film rights of the play in January 1942. Brothers Julius J.and Philip G. Epstein were initially assigned to write the script. However, despite studio resistance, they left after the attack on Pearl Harbor to work on Frank Capra's Why We Fight series. Howard Koch was assigned to the screenplay until the Epsteins returned.Casey Robinson assisted with three weeks of rewrites, but his work would later go uncredited. Wallis chose Curtiz to direct the film after his first choice, William Wyler, became unavailable. Filming began on May 25, 1942, and ended on August 3, and was shot entirely at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, and at Van Nuys Airport in Van Nuys.
Although Casablanca was an A-list film with established stars and first-rate writers, no one involved with its production expected it to be anything out of the ordinary.[1] It was just one of hundreds of pictures produced by Hollywood every year. Casablanca had its world premiere on November 26, 1942 in New York City, and was released on January 23, 1943, in the United States. The film was a solid if unspectacular success in its initial run, rushed into release to take advantage of the publicity from the Allied invasion of North Africa a few weeks earlier.[2] Despite a changing assortment of screenwriters adapting an unstaged play, barely keeping ahead of production, and Bogart attempting his first romantic leading role, Casablanca won three Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Its lead character,[3][4] memorable lines,[5][6][7] and pervasive theme song[8] have all become iconic. The film has consistently ranked near the top of lists of the greatest films of all time

How to make: Glass Tile Fairy Necklace

My latest project...this is how I made her:
1)  I purchased the tile in a package of 20 from Lowes in the Home Tile Department...and placed a high quality sticker on the tile...then poured poly resin over the top to seal her into the tile forever.
2)  I glued a round wire to backing with E6000 glue for a pendant hook...and then I covered the backing with ribbon using a strong glue E6000.
3)  I beaded the necklace with a elastic chord so it can be slipped on and off easily without using a lobster claw for quick and easy wearing.
4) Add a tag and ribbon for an extra touch...and your done.

The Seven Year Itch

this film is a summer time sizzle....
the heat is on...literally...no air conditioning and summer heat
would be the culprit...
throw in a dash of heat from Marilyn's character...
who portrayed a innocent tease of flirtation...

I simply must watch this film every summer...
it goes great on a late summer night
after a day in the sun.

The Seven Year Itch - With his family away for their annual summer holiday, New Yorker Richard Sherman decides he has the opportunity to live a bachelor's life - to eat and drink what he wants and basically to enjoy life without wife and son. The beautiful but ditsy blond from the apartment above his catches his eye and they soon start spending time together. It's all innocent though there is little doubt that Sherman is attracted to her. Any lust he may be feeling is played out in his own imagination however.

If you have seen this movie, please share your thoughts on it.
Or, if you have a summer favorite, please share it also.

Do 'All Dogs Go To Heaven?'

Do 'All Dogs Go To Heaven?'

I have been pondering this question for 2 weeks now, since the passing of my sweet white Poodle, Molly.
So, I did some research...
Robert Louis Stevenson
Novelist
Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
I don't particularly know who this Robert Louis Stevenson is, I suppose I should if he is someone who has a famous, so I  googled him...and WOW...I SHOULD KNOW HIM...VIP (should have paid better attention to this guy when I studied about him at school...he was AWESOME).

And of course, the GREAT Billy Graham...I could NOT forget his voice on this.
So it is my conclusion, that YES, all dogs DO go to Heaven.
